What are your opening hours?
We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 09.30 to 17.30

How can I book a photo shoot?
Just call 0844 800 9124 or email info@colourwhite.com and a member of the Colour White team will then call you to arrange a convenient time for your session. Or visit the studio to make your booking.

How soon can you fit me in for my Studio Session?
This all depends on what day and times you are looking for. Afternoon and weekend appointments are the most popular and you can generally expect to book 2-3 weeks in advance. Morning appointments (not weekends) are more flexible and we can normally fit you in within one week.

Why do you charge a Studio Session fee?
Your Studio Session fee acts as security against your appointment and shows us that you are committed to attending your session. This fee is payable over the phone by credit card or alternatively you can pay at the studio. Please note that sessions are only reserved for 48 hours. If payment is not made within that period then unfortunately your session will be cancelled. This is due to the high demand for appointments.

If I cancel my Studio Session do I lose my fee?
Your fee is non refundable if you cancel or alter your appointment with less than 5 days notice.

I'm not sure what style of pictures I want. Do you offer a consultation?
We do offer a free consultation. It is advisable to book an appointment for this. One of our consultants can show you around the studio and show you a large selection of past clients pictures along with various presentation options for the photographs afterwards.

The Studio Session:

I have woken up with a spot, should I cancel my shoot?
There is no need to cancel your appointment as we can remove all blemishes during post production.

What happens if my child is poorly and does not want to be photographed? Do I lose my shoot fee?
If this happens don't worry we will rebook you in on another day. In this instance, your Studio Session fee is transferable to your next session.

Can I have black & white and colour photographs taken?
As all of our pictures are taken digitally they can be presented in a variety of finishes including: black & white and sepia.

How long will my Studio Session last?
Your session will take anywhere between 30 to 60 minutes according to how many combinations you are having taken and how your children are responding to the photographer.

How many photographs are taken during the shoot?
It varies considerably from one shoot to another but we always make sure you have got plenty of choice.

What happens if I do not like the pictures?
In the unlikely event that you do not like any of the photographs we will take more for you free of charge.

My children are generally very excitable and we have never been able to get a good picture. What makes your photographer any different?
Don't worry. Our photographer has children of his own and also has plenty of experience with children. If we cannot capture the shots during the first session then we will book you in for another session free of charge.

I don't have any children but I love my cats/dog. Do you photograph pets?
We can photograph your pets with and/or without you.

What do you advise to wear?
We create classic, timeless images, which should be reflected in the clothes you choose. Plain and simple clothing is best. When you make your booking with us further advice will be sent to you.

Do you supply props?
We do have a selection of props, boxes, toys and alternative backgrounds, which we can use during your photo shoot. We do however recommend bringing your own props if they are personal to you. Examples such as teddy bears and musical instruments are very popular.

Can I give the portrait experience as a gift?
Yes you can. The Colour White Photography Experience is a popular gift idea and includes the photo shoot and a contemporary framed desk mounted image. It is priced at £25. In addition, you can choose to top this up with £25 gift vouchers.

Viewing Your Photographs:

How long before my pictures are ready to view after my Studio Session?
Your pictures are ready to view within 1-2 weeks of your shoot. This is subject to availability.

How do I view my pictures?
You can view your pictures at your own exclusive screening in our comfortable preview lounge. This is your chance to purchase your images at special preview prices.

How long does it take to view my pictures?
This normally takes anywhere between 30 to 90 minutes depending on how many combinations were shot and how decisive you are.

How much are the pictures?
Our images start from £80 for a hand-finished 5-inch desk photograph. A full price list is available on request.

How much are the pictures without the frames?
The frames are complimentary so the pictures are in fact the same price with or without frames. We do not recommend that you have your pictures unframed as they may get scratched or damaged.

Do I get a choice of frame?
We have a range of contemporary and classic frames in a variety of finishes and we also offer block mounts, canvas wraps and acrylics. Examples are on show at the studio.

How long does it take for me to get my pictures after I choose them?
Your pictures normally take 4-5 weeks to process and complete. We do make exceptions though for special occasions i.e birthday/anniversary presents. In these circumstances we can complete with 14 working days.

Can I get all my pictures onto a disc?
This is not a service that we provide.

Where do you print/frame your pictures?
Every one of the pictures we produce is individually re-touched, developed, printed, framed and packed by hand. All our prints are printed in our own lab here at the studio, using only the best quality printers, ink and paper which is guaranteed against colour degradation for over 75 years. Our images are framed to exacting standards by Fine Art Guild certified framers, using high quality European mouldings and museum grade archive mounts. It is this obsession with quality that guarantees your images will delight you for a lifetime.
